USC
(8-1, 6-1) vs. STANFORD
(5-5, 4-3)
Saturday, 4 p.m.
Versus
The Trojans should be big favorites in this game . . . but not as big as they were when they last met the Cardinal, and that one didn’t turn out well for them -- a 24-23 loss to 41-point underdog Stanford at the Coliseum 13 months ago. Stanford needs one more win to be bowl eligible for the first time since 2001. The Cardinal almost had it Saturday against Oregon, leading until the Ducks scored with six seconds left. USC has given up one touchdown -- against Arizona three weeks ago -- in its last five Pac-10 games.
