The Kennedy difference

Regardless of Tim Rutten’s wistful desires, Barack Obama is no John F. Kennedy. True, both advocated change, but unlike Obama, Kennedy was a proponent of a strong national defense and supported lowering taxes to encourage economic growth. Obama’s programs for “change†are nothing more than failed big-government policies of the past that promote higher taxes and bloated social spending while reducing military expenditures, which weakens our national security. Kennedy, by employing his definition of change, would surely have vetoed Obama’s irresponsible plans.
