Medical helicopters crash; 6 die
Two medical helicopters collided in the air about half a mile from Flagstaff Medical Center, killing six people and critically injuring a nurse, a federal official said.
A helicopter operated by Air Methods out of Englewood, Colo., was carrying three of the people who died, one of whom was the patient.
On the other helicopter -- operated by Classic Helicopters of Woods Cross, Utah -- the patient, a paramedic and the pilot died, and a nurse was critically injured.
A 10-acre brush fire ignited by the crash was extinguished. Two emergency workers suffered minor burns.
