Treasure overlooked

Re “Eviction is bitter fruit,” June 15
Shame on San Juan Capistrano. Ignacio Lujano is a treasure and should be treated as such.
One of the saddest statements of “progress” in Orange County is the loss of these heroes who made the county what it is. The Lujano family is right to ask why the city couldn’t leave the ranch house alone for now, and even after Lujano passes. It is historical and something to be honored. The city owes this man a debt that can never be repaid. Letting him stay would be a good start.
