The French-born artist’s hits such as “Spirit in My Life� (not to mention his take on Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust�) are staples of house DJs the world over. Although he was reared in Marseilles, Gervais is prominent on Miami’s tech-house scene. The so-called “King of South Beach� (he spins weekly at Space and has been a resident at mega-clubs like Crobar) plays a brand of house with a dark edge and sinister, minimal bass lines.
