Tonight marks a turning point of sorts in former model Katie Cassidy’s young career. As the star of the CW series “Supernatural” puts it, “This is the episode that my character, Ruby, gets more involved with the show.” Including some “kick ass” fight scenes that Cassidy, 21, has been training for. “I’ll probably watch at my parents’ house [her mother and stepfather live locally; biological dad/former teen idol David lives in Florida].”

SUSHI AND A MOVIE I like to start the weekend at my friend’s house in Hollywood. Right down the street is a great sushi place, Shintaro -- a little hole-in-the-wall where the focus is on food and the prices are good. My friends don’t want to be dropping a couple of bills at dinner. After that we’ll go to the ArcLight or the Grove and see a movie. My favorite this year is “There Will Be Blood”; I’ve seen it twice. Afterward we might go to La Poubelle for a drink. I’m not into clubs. A NOT SO TIGHT LEASH On Saturday morning I’ll literally run over to my gym, Train, so I’ll be warmed up for my workout with my trainer. I started getting in shape for the show and when I came home I wanted to keep it up. After that, I’ll take my little Shih Tzu, Maddox, to the dog park at Lake Hollywood. I usually let him run around without a leash -- I’m not sure if you’re supposed to do that. WOMEN’S INTUITION Lunch might be a salad at Little Next Door, followed by shopping at my favorite boutique, Shop Intuition, in Culver City. They have a cool selection of clothes. For dinner I might stop at Birds Rotisserie Chicken Cafe. FOOD MASH-UP On Sunday I go to the Marriott in Woodland Hills for the brunch buffet. I get such a random assortment of food -- turkey, sushi, scrambled egg whites with vegetables -- but it all works somehow. Then we’ll take our dogs to the trails at Bell Canyon. I’d have dinner at El Compadre in Hollywood -- a fun place to hang out. If I wanted a completely different Sunday, I’d go to Magic Mountain and check out the newest roller coaster. I love to be scared.
