Cuomo seeks ban on sex offenders

New York Atty. Gen. Andrew Cuomo proposed a state law that would ban sex offenders from visiting social networking websites such as MySpace and Facebook and require them to register their e-mail addresses.
The law, drafted after consultations with News Corp.-owned MySpace and closely held Facebook -- two of the most popular sites -- also would prohibit convicted sex offenders from communicating on the Internet with anyone under 18 years old.
