* Edmonton 4, at Atlanta 2: Sam Gagner scored his fourth goal, all in road games, to help the Oilers end a three-game losing streak. The 18-year-old Gagner is the youngest player in the league.
* at New Jersey 3, Toronto 2: John Madden scored two goals and Martin Brodeur made 34 saves, helping the Devils end a two-game losing streak on their home ice.
* at Philadelphia 6, Ottawa 1: Scottie Upshall had two goals and an assist to lead the Flyers to their fourth straight victory. The Senators have lost two in a row and four of their last five.
* at Colorado 3, Columbus 1: Jose Theodore made 26 saves to help the Avalanche split its four-game season series with the Blue Jackets. Pascal Leclaire had 24 saves for Columbus.
* at Dallas 5, Ducks 2: Brenden Morrow and Niklas Hagman scored two goals each to help end Anaheim’s six-game winning streak.
