at Long Beach State 80, Pepperdine 61: Donovan Morris scored 20 points and the 49ers made nine three-point shots in the second half to defeat the Waves. Casper Ware had 15 points and Greg Plater added 12 points -- all on three-pointers -- to help Long Beach State (4-2) win its fourth game in a row. Denis Agre and Dane Suttle Jr. each had 11 points for Pepperdine (1-6).

WOMEN

at UCLA 104, Cal State Bakersfield 57: The Bruins (5-1) set a season high in points and led by as many as 50 points in the second half. Sophomore forward Christina Nzekwe had 13 points for UCLA, which scored 95 points in its previous game, against Cal State Northridge. The Roadrunners fell to 3-3.
