Woman, 38, allegedly dumped baby

A 38-year-old woman was arrested on attempted murder charges after she left her newborn girl in a trash bin Saturday morning, authorities said.
An 11-year-old girl discovered the baby shortly after 9 a.m. and notified adults, said Orange County sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino. “The baby is expected to make a full recovery,” he said.
Amormino identified the mother as Shawn Sepulveda of Laguna Niguel. The baby and other children in the family have been placed in the care of the county Department of Social Services, he said.
