Inglewood police: An article in Thursday’s California section about Inglewood Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks’ management of her department said her meeting with reporters last Wednesday was her first news conference since an officer-involved shooting July 21; Seabrooks held a news conference on the shooting on July 25. The article also said the Office of Independent Review was part of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department; it is not. The office was created by the county Board of Supervisors to independently monitor the policies, practices and policing of the Sheriff’s Department.
