30-year fixed rates steady for 3rd week

Rates on 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages averaged 6.52% this week, the same as the two previous weeks, mortgage company Freddie Mac said.
Rates on 15-year, fixed-rate mortgages, a popular choice for refinancing, fell to 6.07% from 6.10%. Five-year adjustable-rate mortgages averaged 6.02%, down slightly from 6.05% last week. One-year adjustable-rate mortgages dipped to 5.18% from 5.22%.
These rates do not include add-on fees known as points.
