30-year fixed rates remain at 6.52%

Rates on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 6.52% this week, the same as last week’s rate, mortgage company Freddie Mac said.
Rates on 15-year fixed-rate mortgages, a popular choice for refinancing, rose to 6.10% from 6.07%. Five-year adjustable-rate mortgages averaged 6.05%, down slightly from 6.07%. One-year adjustable-rate mortgages fell to 5.22% from 5.27%.
These rates do not include add-on fees known as points. The nationwide fee for 30-year mortgages and 15-year mortgages each averaged 0.7 point. Five-year and one-year mortgages each carried an average fee of 0.6 point.
