Briton guilty of aiding terrorists
From Times Wire Reports
An outspoken Islamic activist was convicted in London of raising funds for terrorists and inciting terrorism overseas. Electrician Abu Izzadeen, 32, will be sentenced today.
Izzadeen’s offenses involved speeches in 2004 and remarks in the aftermath of the 2005 subway and bus bombings that killed 52 commuters.
He called for volunteers to join the fight against coalition troops in Iraq and for Muslims to offer money to insurgents overseas, prosecutors said.
