* at Pittsburgh 1, Cincinnati 0: Jason Bay homered high and deep into the left-field bleachers. Estimated at 432 feet, the sixth-inning drive was enough for the Pirates.

* at Philadelphia 5, Chicago 3: Pat Burrell hit a two-run homer and had a tiebreaking double in the sixth inning to help end the Cubs’ five-game winning streak. The Phillies won without shortstop Jimmy Rollins for the first time in three games. The 2007 NL MVP hasn’t been in the starting lineup since he sprained his left ankle on Tuesday.

* at New York 4, Milwaukee 2: Nelson Figueroa earned his first major league win in five years, retiring the first 14 batters. He held the Brewers to two hits in six innings while striking out six. His previous win in the majors came on Aug. 15, 2003, with the Pirates against the Brewers.

* Atlanta 3, at Washington 0: Tim Hudson (2-0) improved to 6-1 against the Nationals. Yunel Escobar hit a solo home run in the sixth inning, and the Braves added two runs in the ninth on a bases-loaded single by Matt Diaz.

* Florida 10, at Houston 6: The Marlins set a club record with six home runs. Roy Oswalt (0-3) gave up four home runs in a game for the first time in his career.

* at Arizona 8, Colorado 2: Eric Byrnes, Orlando Hudson and Justin Upton hit two-run homers and the Diamondbacks extended their winning streak to seven games.

* St. Louis 8, at San Francisco 2: Kyle Lohse (2-0) yielded his first two runs of the season but pitched well enough to help the Cardinals win for the eighth time in 10 games.

* San Diego 7, at Dodgers 5: Trevor Hoffman struck out Jeff Kent with the bases loaded to end it.
