US Airways wins FAA certification
US Airways Group Inc., created in a 2005 merger with America West Holdings Corp., gained official recognition as a single airline from U.S. regulators.

The airline still must negotiate single labor contracts with unions for its pilots, flight attendants, mechanics and ground workers before it can fully integrate operations.
