An unfair break

Re “Lives may founder as yacht sales flourish,� column, Aug. 29

I recall that when President Bush was promoting tax cuts that gave the lion’s share to the wealthy, the big sound bite was that a rising tide lifted all boats. Steve Lopez’s column makes it clear that the boats being lifted are yachts, and that those struggling in the water around them were not lifted but swamped.
