If the code works, use it
Re “L.A. recycling program allowing more in the blue bin,†Aug. 28
It is interesting that the city is expanding the waste recycling program to more types of items. Why didn’t the article cover the permitted items using the recycling codes found today on most every container and item purchased? It seems that this coding system is a great idea but is ignored by the waste management people. Why is this? If the coding system is defective or inadequate, why isn’t that a part of the story?
