County’s tab for legal dispositions is up 32%

The county paid more than $50 million in legal settlements and judgments for the year ending in June, a 32% increase over last year, according to a report presented to the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.
Last year’s payouts for settlements and judgments were 20% more than the average paid annually over the last five years, the report said.
