BALTIMORE -- Matt Stover kicked five field goals, Willis McGahee had a six-yard touchdown run and the Baltimore Ravens beat the St. Louis Rams, 22-3. It was the first time this season that the Ravens (4-2) won by more than seven points.

Kyle Boller started at quarterback for the Ravens and was 17 for 29 for 185 yards. Boller was operating behind an offensive line that started three rookies because of injuries.

But the Ravens relied on their defense, forcing quarterback Gus Frerotte into six turnovers.

Playing a second straight week in place of an injured Marc Bulger, Frerotte threw a career-high five interceptions and lost a fumble. He left with just over a minute left after being hit hard on an incomplete pass.

Baltimore converted the turnovers into 12 points, which were more than enough to beat a St. Louis team that has been outscored, 159-73. The last time the Rams started 0-6 was 1962, when they played in Los Angeles.

Quoteworthy: “Our whole motto is, if we can get turnovers we can put our team in a better position to win.†-- Chris McAlister, Ravens cornerback
