Worker killed in wood-chipper accident

A landscape worker was killed Wednesday when he was pulled into a wood chipper while feeding tree trimmings into the machine, authorities said.
The man’s name was not released pending notification of relatives.
The accident, which occurred about 4 p.m. in a gated community in the 2600 block of Palmetto, is being investigated by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, authorities said.
