Man held in 3 rapes is now a suspect in slaying

A Stanton man already in jail as a suspect in three rapes has been linked to the killing of a woman in an Anaheim motel room, authorities said Friday.
Waymon Livingston, 24, is accused of murdering Melissa Ann Gonzalez on Sept. 9. If convicted, he could face the death penalty.
When Livingston was linked to the crime through DNA evidence, authorities said, he was in custody on suspicion of committing rapes in Anaheim, Stanton and Costa Mesa.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on the murder charge Nov. 30.
