The Horror

I’m not a nut case who goes ballistic over the slightest indiscretion, but I’m flipping through the magazine and suddenly I’m reading a first-person story about a psychopath who performs house invasions (“Mision San Pablo,” by Steven Lewis, California Story, Feb. 11). It’s distasteful in a way that’s downright disturbing, and I have to recoil after just a few paragraphs. What the heck? I somehow feel soiled by reading it. Gee, thanks.
