Re “Prosecutors testify on their firings,” March 7
I think it is disgusting the way the Bush administration, with the help of New Mexico Republicans Sen. Pete Domenici and Rep. Heather Wilson, have railroaded U.S. Atty. David Iglesias out of office because he refused to play their political games.
Iglesias and seven other federal prosecutors were forced to resign to make way for other political appointees, such as Timothy Griffin, a Republican operative for chief White House political advisor Karl Rove.
The Republican Party is starting to act more like the Politburo than an American political party.
