Police shoot, wound man wielding shotgun

Los Angeles police shot and wounded a man armed with a shotgun early Thursday after they confronted him near San Fernando Road and Fletcher Drive, police said.
Officers pulled into a Chevron gas station when they came upon the man carrying the gun, said Lt. Ruben De La Torre.
The suspect, whose name and condition were not disclosed, was shot in the leg. The two officers were not injured in the incident.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Force Investigation Division is looking into the shooting.
