A cautionary tale

Re “A conservative’s mother lode,” July 7
I found it fascinating to read about the material documenting conservative and anti-communist causes since the 1940s collected by Marie Koenig. Sometimes it takes people with an obsession to preserve things that would otherwise be lost, and this material will be useful to understand how the Cold War was invented and the propaganda that sustained it. It’s a cautionary tale for future generations.
