Jesus and Mary Chain to reunite

The 2007 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is turning out to be the Great Reunion in the Desert.
The Jesus and Mary Chain, the volatile Scottish cult favorite that called it quits in 1998, will perform together at the April 27-29 concert in Indio, joining Rage Against the Machine and Crowded House as notable outfits coming back together to play under the banner of the festival.
Tickets go on sale Saturday through Ticketmaster; three-day passes will cost $249. The headliners are Rage, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bjork, but the roster of artists is getting longer and more eclectic by the day. Among the performers: the Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon, Willie Nelson, Air, the Rapture, Placebo, Sonic Youth, Kaiser Chiefs, the Black Keys, Stephen Marley, New Pornographers and the Good, the Bad and the Queen.
