Art direction nominations

The Art Directors Guild on Thursday announced nominations in eight categories of production design, including motion pictures, television and commercials.
Designers honored for period films are Huo Tingxiao (“Curse of the Golden Flower”), Jeannine Oppewall (“The Good Shepherd”), Henry Bumstead (“Flags of Our Fathers”), John Myhre (“Dreamgirls”) and Nathan Crowley (“The Prestige”).
Nominated for fantasy film are Jim Clay and Geoffrey Kirkland (“Children of Men”), Eugenio Caballero (“Pan’s Labyrinth”), Rich Heinrichs (“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest”) and Owen Paterson (“V for Vendetta”).
Contemporary film nominees are Brigitte Broch (“Babel”), Peter Lamont (“Casino Royale”), Allan Cameron (“The Da Vinci Code”), Kristi Zea (“The Departed”) and Alan MacDonald (“The Queen”).
Winners will be announced on Feb. 17.
