Restaurant raises money for astronaut

About 70 diners attended a fundraiser at an Italian restaurant for Lisa Marie Nowak, the NASA astronaut charged last week with attempted murder in a scandal involving a fellow astronaut and his girlfriend.
Silvestro’s restaurant, which was bombarded with criticism after word spread that it was holding the fundraiser, plans to donate the dinner proceeds to Nowak’s family. Co-owner Tony Bless said she had made a positive impression on his staff when she dined there last summer.
