In praise of a generous spirit

This is for the man who was stunned because his date ordered steak and a “full bottle” of Champagne and has concluded there are “two types of females: ladies and tramps” [Letters, Feb. 1]. Here’s another slant for him: There are two types of males: Those who are cheap and those who are not.
