A man’s body was found floating in a tide pool below the cliffs at Point Fermin on Wednesday, authorities said.
It was not known if the man fell from the bluff or died some other way, such as in a boating accident, and washed ashore there, said Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
Point Fermin, in the San Pedro harbor area, is where the body of USC football player Mario Danelo was found last month after an apparent fall. An autopsy found a high level of alcohol in his system.
The body found Wednesday was spotted by a passerby at midmorning.
