Re “Regional airports begin to take wing,” Feb. 3
The introduction of regional jet service to the L.A./Palmdale Regional Airport is a good first step in getting full service to the Antelope Valley. In an area where almost 500,000 people live within 30 miles, there is a great opportunity for success, provided the planes go where the people want.
Ideally, US Airways or Southwest Airlines flying to Las Vegas, Phoenix or Dallas would get passengers to almost anywhere in the U.S. with one stop, well worth avoiding the extra hours it takes Antelope Valley residents to travel through Los Angeles International Airport.
