Re “Lead found in toy jewelry,” Dec. 13, and “State to step up lead jewelry probe in stores,” Dec. 14
The current investigations and recalls of toys and children’s jewelry appear to be focused entirely on products now in retail stores. What about the hazards to second, third and fourth children from similar toys purchased for the first child two to four years ago? Is anyone testing these toys for compliance with lead content regulations?
