A swinger does the King

There was a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on at Bordello on Friday night, as Vince Vaughn joined the Lucky Stars at the downtown L.A. nightclub to sing the King. After tossing back some Patrón and Budweisers, the actor hopped onstage with the band and channeled Elvis. . . . It doesn’t get any hotter than Opera, the new club at the old Vynyl. Thursday night’s pairing of the Alliance and Pantera Sarah, who co-host, is attracting an A-list clientele. Britney Spears showed up with a new man, and Leonardo DiCaprio cruised in with actor Lukas Haas, who was joined by Jamie Kennedy. After traipsing through Les Deux earlier, Paris Hilton showed up -- sporting a pixie haircut -- and joined Jesse Metcalf, Haylie Duff and Tyson Beckford. . . . On Sunday night, Jason Lavitt hosts a one-time Labor Day extravaganza of his pop club Beat It! The 18-and-older event is at the Fonda Theatre, and young clubbers can expect DJ Ray Rhodes on the main stage, DJs Bip Jeffington and Joaquin in the front room and DJ Joe on the rooftop.

ML Hollywood is where it’s hat

Veteran promoter MacAfrica is throwing her annual “hat†party Sunday evening at ML Hollywood, the shortened name for the Montmartre Lounge at Hollywood & Highland. Actor Jeff Goldblum is scheduled to perform with his Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. Also: a magician, a can-can dance contest and a laser show. . . . Clubland impresario Ivan Kane premieres “Royal Jelly†tonight at Forty Deuce at the Mandalay Bay resort, Las Vegas. . . . The liquor to the stars, VeeV, just inked a deal with the Dolce Group, which is showcasing the spirit (made with the Brazilian berry acai) during its “Sunset Hour†at Ketchup on the Strip. From 6 to 8 p.m., all VeeV cocktails are two-for-one through October.
