Russell Simmons quits as Phat CEO

Hip-hop entrepreneur Russell Simmons agreed to resign as chief executive of Phat Fashions, the clothing maker he sold to Kellwood Co. for $140 million.

Simmons said it was time to move on to his “next business venture.”
