Murdoch son sells News Corp. shares

Lachlan Murdoch, the oldest son of News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch, sold shares in the company for $4.6 million, according to a regulatory filing.
Lachlan Murdoch, a News Corp. director, exercised his option to sell 220,000 shares Tuesday, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The shares, which had an exercise price of $8.07 each, were sold for $20.83 apiece.
Lachlan, 35, unexpectedly quit News Corp. in 2005 and moved to Australia. During his time at New York-based News Corp., Lachlan was deputy chief operating officer and publisher of the New York Post.
