A Hollister woman was sentenced to 14 years in prison this week for a drunk driving crash that killed her 4-year-old daughter.
Antoinette Soliz, 26, pleaded guilty in June to vehicular homicide, causing great bodily injury while driving drunk, six counts of child abuse and driving on a suspended license. Soliz was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Tahoe that struck a center divider on California 1 and flipped.
During her Superior Court sentencing hearing, Soliz expressed remorse for the Jan. 29 crash near Aptos. The woman’s blood-alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit.
Her daughter, Jasmine Nicole Arroyo, was killed and seven others, including her two sons, were injured in the crash.
