* Minnesota 7, at Kansas City 5: Mike Redmond had three hits and three RBIs to lead the Twins. The score was tied, 5-5, before Nick Punto tripled in Alexi Casilla in the seventh inning. Punto scored on Joe Mauer’s sacrifice fly.

* Chicago 7, at Detroit 5: Jermaine Dye doubled in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning, and the White Sox won their fourth in a row. Fernando Rodney (1-4) gave up two hits and Juan Uribe’s sacrifice fly in the 10th. The Tigers have lost three straight.

* at Tampa Bay 6, Cleveland 5: Jae Seo won for the first time since July. Seo (1-1) gave up five runs and eight hits over six innings to end a personal 13-game winless streak -- including four losses -- dating to a victory July 19 over the New York Yankees. It was his second win in 20 starts overall with Tampa Bay since he was acquired from the Dodgers last season for Toby Hall and Mark Hendrickson.

* at Baltimore 5, Toronto 2: Adam Loewen combined with three relievers on a seven-hitter, and the Orioles won for the seventh time in their last eight games. Miguel Tejada drove in two runs, and Chris Gomez had two hits and scored twice for the Orioles, who clinched their third straight series win.

* at Texas 7, Oakland 0: Matt Kata hit a three-run homer and Kameron Loe combined with four relievers on a shutout as the Rangers ended a three-game skid. In his first major league start since June, Loe gave up three singles, struck out five and walked one in 5 1/3 scoreless innings to help end the Athletics’ four-game winning streak.

* at Boston 7, New York 5: The Red Sox won their second straight game over the Yankees.

* at Angels 7, Seattle 6: Bartolo Colon made a successful return from the disabled list.
