Picnickers swept off by flash floods

Flash floods swept over two waterfalls on a southern mountain packed with picnickers and swimmers celebrating the country’s New Year, killing at least 35 people and leaving dozens missing, officials said. About 200 people were thought to have been at the Sairung and Praisawan waterfalls when the floods hit.
