GOP chief of election board resigns

The Republican chairman of the Cuyahoga County elections board has resigned.
Robert Bennett had been under pressure from Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner to step down. Brunner, a Democrat, last month ordered the board’s members to resign or be fired.
All complied except Bennett, who faced a removal hearing Monday.
