Two men were critically injured when their small plane made an emergency landing near Chino Airport on Monday, authorities said.
The aircraft came down in a field about a mile west of the airport, said Michelle Van Der Linden, a city spokeswoman. The pilot and a passenger, who were not named, were injured during the landing, which damaged the front of the plane.
The pilot was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center, and the passenger was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
The reason for the emergency landing is under investigation.
