Watching the gifted Terrell Owens’ on-field escapades over the years, culminating in last week’s “nap” in the end zone, I’m reminded of the words of the immortal Notre Dame football coach Frank Leahy: “Egotism is the anesthetic that dulls the pain of stupidity.”
