Replace e-voting with paper ballots
Re “E-voting may be scarier than hanging chads,†Nov. 3
The integrity of our election reflects the integrity of our government. If our votes are not counted fairly, we run the risk of becoming like Stalinist Russia. Democracy is defined as rule by the majority of the citizens, but if our votes are not counted accurately, our democracy is lost. Where is the sense of honor of “winning†an election through fraud?
Because the current electronic voting machines have been found to have many glitches, we need to return to paper ballots. So what if it takes a week to find out the results? Let’s move away from our fast-food culture, wanting everything now, especially in our elections. We all need to demand an accurate vote by our elected officials.
