Man Shot, Killed; Motive Unknown
COMPTON
A 22-year-old man was shot to death over the weekend as he sat in a car with his pregnant girlfriend at the intersection of North Aranbe and Rosecrans avenues.
Police did not release his name, pending notification of relatives.
The shooting occurred about 3:30 p.m. Saturday when the gunman approached the car in which the couple were sitting and began arguing with the man inside.
Police say he then shot the victim several times in the upper torso, got in another car and drove away. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
