6-Year Prison Sentence in Series of Arsons
A 22-year-old man was sentenced Friday to six years in prison for a string of Northern California arsons on behalf of the Earth Liberation Front.
Ryan Daniel Lewis will also have to pay $243,000 in restitution for setting fire in February 2005 to a nearly completed apartment building in Sutter Creek, a Gold Country tourist town.
Lewis also admitted to two earlier arson attempts in nearby Placer County.
Two other defendants, Eva Rose Holland, 26, and Lili Marie Holland, 21, received two-year sentences for joining Lewis in attempting to set fire to several unfinished structures at a housing tract in fast-growing Lincoln.
