More A-listers are shucking Hollywood for greener Valley pastures. Chapter 8 in Agoura Hills continues to pack ‘em in each week, with Axl Rose the latest luminary to take in the swanky Vegas-style steakhouse/nightclub. Rose, who noshed on oysters with pals at a recent visit, even opted for a slow dance. And Paris Hilton brought her “Simple Life” crew to Chapter 8 on Thursday, where she sampled the club’s latest cocktail confection, the “Pump & Grind,” while swinging from a rope chair.... In B-list news, Tara Reid was knocking ‘em back at Chapter 8 the night before.... In more Hilton news, her family pimped out brother Conrad Hilton’s birthday bash March 8 at Il Sole for “The Simple Life,” where Paris and her parents dined for the cameras.... We hear Sona’s David Myers is teaming up with Kazunori Nozawa to open a new spot at the old Noura Cafe on Melrose at La Cienega. Nozawa is famous for ruling his Studio City eatery Sushi Nozawa with an iron knife.... In La Cienega news, two new spots expected to open this week: the Bridge at the old Alto Palato (from the folks behind Koi) and Republic (at the former Bliss).

Dan Tana’s continues to attract Hollywood’s best and brightest. Recent guests at the legendary WeHo restaurant include Tom Poston and wife Suzanne Pleshette (looking gorgeous), Luke Wilson and Greg Kinnear.... The Penthouse at the Chateau Marmont is hosting a swell soiree for Irish arist Rasher tonight. The paint slinger’s fans include Tom Cruise, Colin Farrell and Bono’s wife, Ali Hewson, who each own original works.... In more Chateau Marmont news, actorvist George Clooney was among the stars who turned out to support the recent Motorola benefit for One.org, an organization aimed at fighting global poverty and AIDS.... A bunch of down and dirty rockers are raising money for three New Orleans bands hurt by Hurricane Katrina on April 1 at the Scene in Glendale. Titled the “Lynyrd Skynyrd Katrinathon,” members of White Zombie, Pygmy Love Circus and the Melvins are throwing down; tickets are $7.... In more do-gooder news, DJ AM, Marcia Cross and Dan Cortese are expected to attend Santa Monica’s luxelab salon on Sunday evening. The beauty parlor is raising money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Safari Sam’s update: The fledgling east Hollywood nightclub’s long-delayed opening is targeted for March 24 -- pending the venue’s passing of a couple of last-minute inspection hurdles.... Meat Loaf’s daughter Pearl Aday is performing free shows each Wednesday in the House of Blues Foundation Room at 10:30 p.m. ... The mod squad turned out for “Quad,” the first staged musical of the Who’s “Quadrophenia,” which took place on Friday at Avalon Hollywood. Producers Bill Schultz and Bill Aucion plan to take “Quad” to Las Vegas and New York next....
