After Milosevic

Re “Death of a demagogue,” editorial, March 14
Slobodan Milosevic’s regime was responsible for one of the most ruthless and inexcusable programs of extermination in modern history. Whole communities were wiped out by thuggery, violence and intimidation.
It is lamentable that a tyrant like him cheated justice, dying before he could answer for the atrocities committed during his unrelenting quest to impose his will by blackmailing or threatening others.
Meanwhile, President Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, et al are still at large. Has the time not come to investigate thoroughly their crimes against humanity in Iraq and Afghanistan and bring them to justice and punish them?
