UCLA Biologist Ousted as UC Senate Chairman
- Share via
University of California faculty leaders took the extraordinary step Monday of ousting UCLA biologist Clifford Brunk as chairman of the 10-campus system’s Academic Senate.

Replacing Brunk will be John B. Oakley, a UC Davis law professor. Brunk has come under fire for, among other things, failing to speak out more forcefully concerning an ongoing controversy about compensation packages for top administrators.
