The New York Times will drop daily stock and bond price listings starting April 4, replacing them with summary tables and online functions to reduce costs.
Tuesday through Saturday editions, which now carry six pages of financial tables, will run two pages featuring market summaries and “analytical tools,” the paper’s parent, New York Times Co., said Monday.
The Times joins other papers, including the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Register, in cutting stock listings as more readers monitor investments using the Internet.
