General Mills Profit Down in 4th Quarter

General Mills Inc. said fourth-quarter profit dropped from a gain a year earlier on the sale of two units. Revenue rose on demand for items including Betty Crocker dessert mixes and Hamburger Helper dinner mixes.
Net income fell 52% to $222 million, or 61 cents a share, from $460 million, or $1.14, a year earlier when the divestitures lifted profit by 87 cents a share. Revenue rose 4.6% to $2.85 billion, the Minneapolis company said.
